It had been a long day of rehearsals getting everything ready and make sure everything was right for the next days concerts. Katie's hands were throbbing after of hours of pounding on the drums. She was lucky enough that they had just ended the rehearsal and were free to go do what ever the hell they pleased. Katie had gone out to grab some food as she was starving and just couldn't Wait one more minute to eat something. She went to the store and bought some of the hot food at the deli, she couldn't resist getting some Jojo's and pizza pockets. She also grabbed a few bags of sour candy including her favorite sour patch kids.
She found her way back to the tour bus and went inside, it was quiet and it seemed like no one was around. They probably ended up going to some crazy party. Katie was trying to stay away from the party scene, she always ended up drunk and always ended up doing something stupid. But she was like a addict and couldn't stop, she always found her way to some party. Katie sat her food down on the counter and then headed back to find her bag of clothes. It was nearly impossible because every ones shit was thrown around, you would think a bunch of pigs lived on the bus.
When she finally found her bag she searched threw it to find some clean pajama's to wear. She changed quickly and then walked out to go eat her food. Once she was done she realized she really wasn't all that tired so she headed outside and set up a camp chair in front of the bus. She sat down and started to read a book. It was dark outside but the moon and stars were so bright that it made enough light so that she could make out the words in her book.
Katie was such nerd sometimes as she just loved to read, if she wasn't playing the drums, partying or with her friends she was sitting down some where reading. The characters lives in stories always seemed better then her own. Her life was her own sad story so she preferred to read the ones with happy endings. Although one of her favorite stories had always been romeo and Juliet. On her lap she had the bags of sour candy and every once and a while would pop one in her mouth and squint her eyes at the really sour ones.
Thank god it was a pretty unusually warm night because Katie was just sitting outside in a pair of red shorts and a tank top. It would have been a lovely picture for Paparazzi.

A low groan erupted from beneath the thick comforter. A moment later a long, lean, masculine form raised from the mattress. A tanned hand ran through thick, mud colored hair. Long bangs raised two reveal a pair of dull grey eyes. He gave a heavy sigh and pushed himself up onto his knees, causing the comforter to slide down his back. His arms raised above his head and bent down at the elbows. He clasped one hand over the opposite's elbow and pushed it down his spine as far as it would go. Another groan reverberated from his chest as he arched his spine back and felt the satisfying pop of vertebrae moving and shifting back into place. He relaxed with a heavy sigh and tugged the curtain back, stunned to see it dark outside. He wasn't exactly sure where his bandmate was at this point, or any of the crew for that matter. He knew he was alone, the silence told him everything.
He carefully slid out of the bunk, thankful to have recieved the bottom, considering he moved around in his sleep. This explained his slight struggle from the comforter being tangled around his long legs. Clad in only a pair of ligh, acid washed skinny jeans, Keagan made his way around the bunk area. He had returned from rehearsals nearly two hours ago and was free to do whatever. Being the lazy bum he was, he decided to lay down for a small cat nap. He had lost track of everything between then and now. He gave a deep yawn and ruffled his auburn hair. He stumbled around on weary legs, still lost in a drowsy stupor. He then rummaged through his bag and slipped into a loose fitted black t-shirt with a slightly low collar. He fixed his hair so it was it's naturally messy fashion, then made his way into the lounge area.
He sighed, hating being alone, but that's what he got for falling asleep. His bandmate just didn't want to stick around. He slipped on a pair of black and blue DC shoes and grabbed a drink from the mini fridge. He popped the tab on the mountain dew and then casually strolled off the bus. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and blinked, looking around. He found no one, but didn't worry. Most sensible people would be out partying, but for the first time in a while, Keagan just wasn't up for it. He wanted to relax. He glanced to the right of his tour bus and found a single feminine form relaxing in a chair outside one of the busses. He smirked and stepped off the last step, pushing the door shut in one fluid motion.
He strolled over to the girl and tilted his head, studying her for a moment. He then walked straight up to her and stood beside her. He didn't bring a chair so he simply collapsed on the black top of the parking lot. He pulled his knees up and leaned over, resting his forearms on then, one hand clasped on the top of the can of mountain dew, holding it by his fingertips. Keagan was always the blunt socialite, placing himself wherever he pleased. He glanced up at the girl, not exactly liking the height difference, but was too tired to really act on it. "Evening, Cutie." He announced with a his trademark smirk. "What brings you out here all alone?" He queried, raising an eyebrow, watching her out of the corner of his eye.
He tipped his head back and took a swig of the citrus drink and sighed, finding himself dying for a gin or possibly vodka. He pushed it off, deciding to act normal for once. Living on alcohol just wasn't doing it for him at the moment. He gave her a sideways glance, waiting patiently fot her to either accept or reject his company. If she told him to buzz off, he would. He was sure he could something productive to do tonight. He just didn't quite know what as of yet. For now he would try to be nice and keep her company. Keagan? Nice? There's something you don't hear every day.

People always thought silence was good, it gave you a time to relax and just De-stress. However the silence for Katie did not make her feel relaxed. It was a time for her to reflect on the past. No matter how much she tried to push the thoughts away they kept coming back. So clearly that it seemed like she was right there in the middle and it was happening all over again. When she closed her eyes she could remember the smell of alcohol on her dads breath as she was being rapped, or the screams of her brother as they collided into another car. The silence was not good for Katie, it brought back the memories she wanted to forget. She still blamed herself for her brothers death. After all she was the one drunk and she was the one driving. That Night not only did she lose her brother and her family's trust, but she lost any bit of her true self that she had left. That night completely changed her and for the worst.
Even as she sat there reading the book it could not keep her occupied. She would be reading the words out loud quietly so only she could hear them but in her head her past kept replaying. After a while she hadn't even realized she was still reading. She probably looked like a complete freak, spacing out and reading out loud to herself. At least no one was around to see her, no one to ask if she was okay. She hated when people asked if she was okay. Most of the time they didn't really want a answer they just felt obligated to ask. Then again if they really did care, Katie always lied and told them she was just fine and was spacing out. Ya thats Katie, a big space case. She really didn't like to talk about her feelings. The thing that made her angry was when people said they knew what she was going through. Most of the time they didn't, they hadn't been raped by there foster dad and weren't responsible for there brother death.
She finished off the first bag of sour patch kids by eating one of the yellow ones. To her they were the sourest, and her least favorite flavor. She stood up and stretched her arms way above her shoulders. She then walked slowly over to the nearest trash can and threw away her garbage. She looked at her phone and realized nearly a hour had passed. She was tired as all hell but just couldn't fall asleep. Who could sleep with a million thoughts running threw there head anyways. It really wasn't that late so she decided it really wouldn't hurt her to stay up just a little bit longer. So she headed back to her chair and sat down. She picked up her book and continued to read, however she only managed to read about 5 pages before getting sick of the book.
Katie dropped the book on the ground, it ended up falling so the pages were exposed to the wind. Felling to lazy to bend down and close it she decided to leave it alone. The wind started to blow lightly but it was cold, it brought a warm comforting feeling with it. She tilted her head back and looked up at the stars, there were so many. She really wished she wasn't alone, she could really use some company or just some one to talk to to get her mind off of certain issues. Thats when her wish was granted, though there were no shooting stars out.
She hadn't herd him walking to wards her so when he spoke his words caught her a bit off guard and she jumped a little bit. Katie had two different types of personalities. When she was partying or on stage she seemed outgoing and well a bit crazy. In person she was shy and quiet until you got to know her. I'm not alone your sitting on my imaginary friend Nicky she said sarcastically with a friendly grin. Normally she probably would have been completely quiet and offered a shrug of the shoulders and then probably would have just left. But at the moment she was thankfully for his company. Just Cant sleep she said truthfully. want some? she asked picking up her large bag of sour candies.

Keagan watched her quietly. He was intrigued by her, mostly because she was alone in the dark. Where were her bandmates, her friends. He didn't want to insult her by asking, so he took it as she was in the same situation as him. He had woken up to find everyone gone. He figured his bandmate was out partying and decided to let Keagan rest. He had needed it, being up all day with a long rehearsal and partying every single day this week, it had taken a toll on his body. He shook it off and smirked when she answered his question with a sarcastic remark about an imaginary friend. He shook his head and shifted so he wasn't sitting on said friend. He ran a hand through his auburn hair and kept his silver gaze on her.
She didn't seem like the type to go out partying, then again he didn't know what band she belonged to and sometimes looks could be decieving. He rested the heel of his hand on his forehead, covering one eye and pushing his bangs up, slightly. He leaned over, his kneels pulled up close to him, his elbow resting on his knee. He was still drowsy, but more alert than before. He listend to her explanation for being out alone. She couldn't sleep and yet he had slept most of the day away. Their rehearsal had ended around late afternoon so he got in a good hour and a half of sleep. The sun was down by the time he got up. He figured it wasn't late enough to sleep anyway. He was just worn out and needed it more than anything. He tipped his head back, raising the unpropped hand that held the mountain dew and took a long drink.
His gaze then turned to the sky, watching as stars slowly began to form. The sky was already partially covered and more stars seem to pop up out of nowhere. He smiled, never actually being able to enjoy the night. He had always been too busy with the band or parties. It was nice to just slow down and take in everything around him. He glanced back as she asked a question. He eyed the bag of sour candy and reached over with his free hand, dipping his hand into the bag and taking out one of the candies. He studied it for a moment, then popped it in his mouth. He immediately tensed up, having taken the first one his hand touched, which was a yellow one. He shook his head, shaking off the initial shock, then finally forced himself to eat it. Keagan wasn't a huge fan of sour things, but he needed some kind of food in his system, even if it was candy.
"Thanks." He said after recovering from the sourness of the candy. He didn't bother taking a drink after that, the taste was still on his tongue and it would dull out the flavor of the soda. He leaned back on his hands, tilting his head back and closing his eyes for a moment, letting his muscles relax a little and sighing in content. "The name's Keagan, by the way. You are?" He asked, opening one eye and glancing toward her. She hadn't told him to leave so he figured he'd be polite and at least introduce himself. He did startle her after all. He then stretched out on his back, laying flat on the blacktop. He rested one arm behind his head. He heaved a long, heavy sigh and closed his eyes, relaxing and enjoying the silence and the comfort of company. It sure beat spending the night alone on the tour bus.

It probably wasn't very safe for Katie to be out alone, this time of night. There was always creepy people hanging out and doing weird shit. If there was one thing she had it was common sense. Yet tonight she wanted to be outside for some reason. The fresh air just felt amazing, the stars and moon made it beautiful, and the quietness made it Even better. normally Katie would be all over going to a party but tonight she was just tired of it and needed a brake. Music, partying and drinking was her life, its what she lived for. It was pretty pathetic that's whats he Had to live for but then again she was still young and had plenty of time to find something better to live for.
Katie hadn't seen him around before but then again there was alot of people she didn't know from the tour. There was just to many people you couldn't know them all. Katie was a drummer, and in the music industry girl drummers weren't always accepted. She got shit about it all of the time even from her band mates but at least they were joking. This little girl was amazing at playing the drums and knew it, so she ignored all of the rude comments. No one was going to scare her away from her dreams. Often times she ended up with blisters and her hands would hurt alot, especially after hours of practicing or shows. When she was first starting to play her hands would hurt alot, now she barely even noticed it.
She handed him the bag of candy and then took it back when he had picked out what he wanted. She noticed he had grabbed a yellow candy and was about ready tow warn him that it was the sourest, but decided not to. Your Welcome she said with a slight smirk. She couldn't help but laugh at him, when he made faces at the candy. Katie Absolutely adored sour candy, she could sit there and eat it forever. I'm Katie or um Kat, what ever the hell you want to call me she said. She preferred to go by Katie however to alot of people she was known as Kat. She hated how nicknames just stuck sometimes. It was easier for people to remember, but it wasn't like her name was long in the first place.

The tingling sensation of the sour candy remained on his tonue long after he had widdled it down to a small size and bit into it, eating it properly. He wrinkled his nose and glanced up at her as she laughed at him. He tilted his head with a slight smirk. He shrugged it off and shot her a playful glare. It was really his fault for taking the first one his hand touched. It just happend to be the sourest of the bunch. He glanced down at his drink and decided to wait a bit before he took a drink, knowing the taste would be dulled from the sour candy. He shifted, slightly, trying to find a more comfier position on the black top. It was pretty hard since he wore one of his thinner shirts and his belt was partially embedded in his lower back since his back was slightly arched and most of his weight was along his hip line.
He glanced up at her as she spoke again, introducing herself. He raised an eyebrow at the name and nickname. He had never expected her to have such a simple, common name. He looked her over, trying to place the name to the face. He almost laughed at her nickname. It was almost predictable. Keagan may have had a strange name, well at least to him it was strange. Though he always had a fascination with the more common names. He carefully sat up, lifting his legs up, bending them at the knees and pushing his torso forward to almost lean against his legs. His arms wrapped loosely around his knees and he tilted his head in slight curiosity. "Pleased to meet you. I'm not really big on nicknames, so I'll just call you Katie." He replied, calmly.
He glanced forward, watching the lights that partially illuminated the parking lot. He was sure that if his bandmate had gone out partying, he wouldn't be back until the early mornng. It was still early into the night, though he wasn't sure what the exact time was. His mouth became dry as he thought of partying, he began to crave vodka terribly. He pushed it down, knowing he didn't have the energy to drink, let alone go anywhere. He was content right where he was. He glanced at his drink and quickly drained the can, looking for a trash can and tossing it inside the one nearest to him. He then glanced up at the sky, watching as a few more stars appeared, completely illuminating the deep blue sky.
It seemed to relax him and he laid back down on the black top in his previous position, both arms tucked under his head. He then closed his eyes, relaxing slightly, still aware of things around him and not completely tuning her out.
