"His eldest sister, Jessica, was probably the one he got along with most. She was five years old when he was born, though she was only a half sister, and her real mother had died when she was only 14 months old. When she was finally two years, her father, Joshua Reynolds, remarried to Nelidia de Costa, a woman from Italy. When she was three, her parents gave birth to her younger sister, Marta. Finally, when she was five years old and Marta was two, their strange family was completed with Alexander Reid Reynolds. Ander was called Alex for a long time. His father figured that he would be his son, a person he could go fishing with, and throw a football around with when he got older. Of course, like every other little boy, Alex loved watching football games and playing Army with his father when he got the chance. Those days were filled with crew cuts, and him learning to actually throw the football right. There was never the slightest indication that Alex would grow up to be a homosexual.
Of course, in middle school he continued with his football playing, and even joined track so that he would keep up his leg muscles for running the ball, or even so he would have enough strength to tackle if he needed to. He was still called Alex, and was considered quite popular. His relationship with Marta wasn’t all that good, but he still looked up and adored his half-sister Jessica. Even when she was in her teens she found time to hang out with her younger brother, who was considered an annoyance by all of his sister’s friends. It was in the summer between his eight grade and ninth grade year that Alex began his change into what he is now.
He boarded himself up in his room and started letting his stupid crew cut grow out, to the point where it was in his eyes and down to the nape of his neck. For a little while he cut it himself, until his sister took him to a hair cutting place just down the street, where they gave him the hair cut of his choice, much like the one he has now. His natural Florida tan disappeared slowly, giving him a more….. ghostly appearance. He also requested that his family to stop calling him ‘Alex’ and switch his name to ‘Ander’. He even changed schools to accommodate his new look.
It was in his sophomore year that he found his best friend. It was after a little while of meeting that they realized they had a knack for playing their respective interment, and it wasn’t long before Keagan proposed the idea of starting a band. Due to Ander’s own love for music, he quickly agreed. He loved being on stage, pretty much wailing on his drums to various songs. He was honestly surprised when they got signed to do a tour, though he was rather excited. It took a bit convincing on both his own and Jessica’s part to convince his parents to let him go, even though he was technically old enough. They still had a bit of hold on him. But of course, he was allowed to go, and now tours with his band and his best friend he’s ever had.
Ander is actually a sweet person, despite his looks. He’s ready to work on what relationships he has, even if the other person seems like they don’t. He can usually read people easily, making it simple for him to judge what would be appropriate at the time. He’s calm and laid back, smiling frequently. Even though he has these looks, it’s because it makes him feel more comfortable and at ease, as his family was a pretty happy one. He’s more of a ‘go with the flow’ type of person, though he can be assertive when he stands strongly on a certain issue. However, he continues with the saying that you must ‘pick your battles’. If he believes that it’s not worth it to fight over something, he’ll drop it. Usually in a fight with Ander, you’ll win. But you must also learn that he’s not a push-over, because that might get you in trouble.
You know those people that are hotheaded and pick fights constantly? Well, you’re going to have to seriously work to make Ander angry with you. Of course, he’s a human too, and certainly experiences things like anger, attraction, and jealousy, but they won’t be as evident as other people’s emotions. He generally hides them because he believes that it’s more important to help other people get through their emotions and become happy again, than it is for him to address what he’s actually feeling. When it gets on the subject of himself, he’s likely to change the subject in a rather smooth transition, that gets one thinking that he’s done it several times before. He’s quite ready to see your side of the situation however. If people usually see you one way, he’ll find the real you, which might not always be what people see on the surface. Basically, Ander is a people person, but he’s not always ready to address what’s wrong with him until it’s too late.
Ander is about 5’10”, which is lucky considering his father’s short stature. If you look at him from the side, or even the back, you can see that most of his height comes from his legs, and not the upper-half of his body. His hair is rather layered, laying pretty flat on his head. His bangs come down into his eyes when they’re straight down, but most of the time he has them sideswept to the point where they only reach down to his eyebrows. Of course, being a drummer, more than half of the time they find their way back into his eyes. His hair is so dark of a brown that it could almost be classified as black, but not quite. In fact, in some light, it’s so obviously brown that one would wonder how they could have made that mistake before. His shin is rather pale because of the fact that the two things he does the most (working and playing in his band), don’t require him to be outside much. His face is rather round, without much of a prominent feature on it. His lips are fairly full, but no more than what would look okay on a man. His eyes are rather wide, and are a dark brown, though they’re far from muddy like some brown eyes are.
There isn’t much on Ander that you would call ‘distinguishing’. He does have a few piercings. One on his lip that he only sometimes wears, pierced on the bottom lip on the left side. Almost splitting his bottom lip into equal halves is a scar that’s almost barely noticeable until he smiles from when he was about three years old. On his right ear, proudly proclaiming his sexuality is a small silver ring. He got it when he was about seventeen. Lastly, he has a small tattoo on his back, just below his neck, of the ‘yang’ half of ‘yin and yang’, simply showing that he’s still looking for his ‘yin’ half, as yin can’t survive without yang, and yang cannot survive without yin.
