Addison is, what you would call, difficult. He never really got along with the other kids, and when he did he was arguing with them telling them things that weren’t nice. He’s certainly different, and hard to get along with. His face, usually set softly, as he looks at the world around him, hardens when people talk to him. He’s just difficult to deal with unless you’re really good at getting someone to open up. He's witty deep down inside, and quite hilarious and fun to be around. It just takes a while.
He tends to be quite cynical about most things that don’t include his artwork, aka most things pertaining to his camera and guitar. The glass is usually half empty when it comes to government, other people’s intellectual status, and his family--which he doesn’t seem to get along very well with. The closest thing that he considers a family is his band mates. He doesn’t cope with problems well, he just looks at the negatives and how it balances out.
No matter how cynical and difficult to deal with he is, if you have his respect, as tedious as it is to receive such a thing, it is possible. If you have this young man’s respect I can guarantee that you will have it for life, unless you do something stupid. Two chances is all you get from this boy, if you can even consider it two chances. He doesn’t like to be fooled, it pisses him off.
If you are friends with him, and he actually likes you and respects you, you may be lucky enough to see his personality through the arrogance and bitterness to the world he’s actually a respectable man. He has some sort of moral system in his mind. He doesn’t like women hitters, unless it’s a woman hitting a woman. He respects his parents, no matter how much he hates and resents them.
Addison is sarcastic around his friends, and friends being those that he trusts and respects. His sarcasm has a tendency to be harsh, but fun all the same. He has many friends that he doesn’t care for and doesn’t trust, although he’s kind to them all the same… sometimes. When he can’t deal with those he’s mean and just states the obvious that he’s not a fan of them, in more harsh terms.
He’s hard to get to know, and is super easily annoyed. The slightest things can get on his nerves; people bumping him in the crowd, people talking about someone he knows, stuff like that. He’s very brash when he’s on a temper high and won’t hesitate to blow up at someone, though he refuses to use physical attacks. His temper can be considered dangerous with his hurtful and angering words.
Addison doesn’t look for trouble. He’s quiet and composed. He grew up long before many people his age did, and he has a tendency to act like an old man. He reads and likes to be alone, but he listens to his music loud and proud. It was one of the few places he could escape to when he was younger when he wanted to stay out of the picture.
He doesn’t have a set in stone style, although he mainly sticks to his skinny jeans and t-shirts. He likes to wear ties and button downs, but he mainly sticks to t-shirts with graphics on them. He likes jeans, new jeans and old jeans, but he hates the new vintage jeans. He thinks they are pointless. He likes cardigans and hoodies, and his shoes tend to be vans, converse, and whatever he feels matches his style for the day. He’ll wear the occasional hat, but it’s unlikely. His outfit would not be complete without his camera satchel, a fairly nice sized bag that houses his large camera, his only baby. He has a pair of thick rimmed glasses that occasionally wears if he’s not wearing his contacts.
Addison was not always difficult and stubborn, he was actually a happy child. He grew up in a wealthy household and was the only son of his parents Marie and Micheal Brooks. His father was a successful business man who was ultimately old fashioned. He never expected his son to want to do anything besides take over his business. His father disowned him when Addison informed him that he was serious with his music career. Addison was born on March fifth 1987 in Seattle Washington. His parents gave him his first guitar on his ninth birthday and he fell in love with it.
He always did well in school to impress his parents, but it was not enough. Addison's parents rarely complimented him, they just wanted more and more from him, it got to the point where he didn't really care about them anymore he just wanted out. His father eventually wanted more and laid upon him the fact that he was to take over his father's business. Sitting behind a desk was not something that he wanted and he refused, he refused every time his father told him and yet he kept asking, getting angrier and more frustrated each time. Addison found a group of guys that he liked to play with and they eventually formed a band. He told his father that he planned to tour with them and his father disowned him when he dropped out of college to join.
