Dave is a decently friendly guy. He'll interact with fans and rival band members, without being too much of a dick but his actual friends, while on tour, are mostly restricted to the people on his bus. Same band FTW! So They shoudl be pretty close considering they went threw rehab together and are now in a band. Maybe a brother/sister type relationship.
